I follow many blogs (in fact this post has made me realize I need to update my blog roll), but one of my favorites has to be the Diary of a Crafty Chica. She is so much fun and has such a great zest for life - including a pro-glitter campaign against Ellen DeGeneres.

When I saw her post this week about some great graduation centerpieces, it reminded me of something I did for my parents anniversary over a year ago. So I searched through my pictures from the party (long before I had a blog and thought to photograph all my crafty ideas) and lo and behold - someone had actually taken a picture of them.

I actually called these "Did you knows...". There were 50 cards (it was their 50th anniversary) and each one had part of a story about my parents at some point in their 50 years of marriage.

At the bottom of each one I added "ask ____ for details". (for example: Did you know that my parents captured a monkey in a garbage can - right on their back porch? Ask one of their kids for the details) Sometimes it was ask one of their kids or ask Aunt Mary or ask a neighbor, etc. It was a great ice breaker and brought back a lot of funny memories.

That is soooo cute! Thank you for visiting my blog, and for commenting!! I'm glad we think alike. Documenting memories in centerpieces is a great way to get everyone talking and laughing. And sharing fun trivia about the guests of honor! Have a super week!
